CMSA Atlanta

National Conference 2008President’s Message

Welcome! We are very glad to have you visit the home page for the CMSA Atlanta Chapter. We appreciate the opportunity to share both local and national information as it pertains to everyone involved in the practice of Case Management and other Healthcare Professionals that work with us on a daily basis.

The Atlanta Chapter had a wonderful Educational meeting on March 11, 2008. We really appreciate Dr. Sellers and Piedmont Hospital who worked with us to make the meeting possible. Ongoing information and further listings of this year’s meetings can be reviewed by clicking on the tab to the right on this page that states “Meetings”. Our next Educational meeting will be May 13, 2008. We look forward to seeing you there and would like to encourage you to invite your colleagues.

We are very excited to tell you that a theme has been chosen for our Annual Educational Conference that will be held again at the Georgia International Convention Center on October 11, 2008. The theme will be Western in nature and is titled “ Case Management Round-Up: Many Roads, One Destination”. Further information will be posted on the web site on an ongoing basis. We truly encourage you to mark your calendars and to share the information with your colleagues. We will also have the opportunity to recognize and celebrate together the beginning of National Case Management Week that will be from October 12-18, 2008.

On the National level there are several items we would like to make you aware of including the National CMSA Conference that will be held in Orlando, Florida this year from June 17-20, 2008. The theme and further information regarding Registration deadlines can be accessed by clicking on the link to the CMSA National Site on this page. Other items of interest on the National web site include a number of informational topics available for CMSA members including a CMSA Senior Housing locator and Communities of Practice. The site also has a Media Center that displays Press releases that pertain to CMSA that can be viewed by all visitors.

We encourage you to join us if you have not already done so. Membership offers a number of benefits and also the opportunity to meet other Case Managers as well as Healthcare Vendors, Providers, Sponsors and Speakers working with us throughout the year. We truly appreciate everyone’s involvement and look forward to seeing you at the Chapter’s activities.

Respectfully submitted,
